It's a Magical Place

I just returned home from the land of Disney
Disneyland is what most everyone says. It truly was a special place, I saw things there I have never seen before. I had a grand time experiencing new beautiful places, new faces and new adventures. I faced my fear of heights finally. I checked off many things on my bucket list. I finally touched a palm tree, I rode a roller coaster that goes upside down, I ate at in and out burger. I met someone famous. Wynonna Judd is a sweetheart who loves her fans avidly and she’s beautiful! The Brown’s from TLC’s “Sister Wives” new season begins tomorrow! May 13, 2012! My chance of meeting the talented and beautiful Wynonna was by chance- since it happened AFTER I was already once on my departing flight for home. Once on board we waited an hour only to be de-boarded due to mechanical issues with the HYDROLICS??? (Breathes a deep breath of relief)
So while waiting to hear what the word was on getting us a new plane to fly home, I met back up with my girlfriend who’s flight wasn’t taking off until 7ish so that was nice to get to chill a few more hours. Soon after heading to check back through security, we passed by Wynonna and of course had to pose for a picture!

It wasn’t until after we found our gate we met the Brown’s. They seemed like a sweet family. I thought it was kind of funny I was the only one wanting a picture with them, the rest of LAX was like… UMMM what??? HA! I enjoy being out of the ordinary.

I think I might of had just as much fun at the airport as I did the whole three days we spent in Disneyland. The food there was delicious and I met a few new friends. Of course everyone I was sitting next to on the plane was reading one of the books from the Hunger Games. Which by the way is an awesome series so far, I read the first book in less than two days. I don't even want to attempt picking up the second one until I know I have a sold few days I can get away with doing nothing!
So anyways, back to DISNEYLAND... before my trip I was tripping out about the rides, it was even making my palms sweaty BEFORE I even got to the park but once I got the courage to ride them I found myself just wanting more! It was SO much fun. To be honest, the scariest part of my whole trip had to of been either my flight there, or the faris wheel. I hated being slowly taken up... I just felt so helpless. Of course we decided to get a basket that swayed back and forth vigorously... ( don't ask me what I was thinking )

Our hotel was about a block or two from the entrance to the park, it was a nice little walk every morning down there. It probably burned off our daily stop at the Wetzle Pretzle shop, which happened even twice on some of the days! :)

I hate to admit but I loved the shopping. I am glad I had budget, I couldn't imagine how crazy I could go without some type of limit. I still managed to come home with some really cool stuff. Including a bubble blower for the girls so I can stop getting light head trying to satisfy their crazy bubble obsession. I ended up with a pair of Minnie ear clips, that I wore home and Wynonna said were "So darn adorable" haha! I had to laugh.
Jessica and I had a great time together. It was a time to just focus on being girls and getting away to breathe and have fun. The whole time the song "Girls just wanna have fun" was playing over and over in my mind. I was very thankful for the time I got with her and the time I was able to forget life for a little bit and be a kid again. HAHA. I know it sounds cliche but I just don't ever wanna grow up now! I've realized age truly is only a number. Walt Disney said "All our dreams can come true...if we have the courage to pursue them." We all should remember not to forget that.

So let's get on to my favorite parts of Disneyland. Immediately I noticed how well the park was tended to and how nice the staff or should I say "cast members" treated guests of the park and each other. It was like a well designed plan they all planned and worked together effortlessly and efficiently, even when a problem arose. My favorite part of all was the landscaping. When I was asked if I would ever want to work at Disney, I would but just not where most would expect... I would have a hay day in those flower beds and jungle forests... I would love to beautify Disneyland with vegetation.

And the palm trees wow.... I just love them!

The picture of the trees was taken from the Monorail, a pretty cool 2.5 mile or so ride from one side of the park to the other, it was nice and convenient to ride if you were tired, or just wanted to hear cool little things about Disneyland. There are also a couple different trains you can ride around too, but I thought the rail was much cooler :) You got the best view of all the BEST rides. Like  the Hollywood tower hotel.

This ride was so much fun, minus the seemingly hour long video they make you watch before you get to your service elevator. It built the anticipation for me the first time. Honestly I was walking up the stairs thinking to myself now why in the world would I ever get into an elevator and just imagine it was breaking and free falling, plummeting me to my death? My palms began to sweat so much I felt like I needed to dry my hands after washing them... I was about to just turn around and before I knew it I was strapping my seat belt in and tugging on the yellow strap to make sure it was secure. The hotel elevator operator said some things about holding on and having a nice stay then closed the doors and after a some shrieking and screaming, flashing lights and loud bangs, the who elevator just kinda snapped and began to fall ... 13 stories down and let me tell you what, I don't know if anyone in that elevator with me has hearing left because I screamed so loud even I was temporarily defended. It was awesome. I was so scared out of my gourd I thought I was going to pass out, after I reached the bottom and they shoot you back up... then drop you a few more floors a few more times, it's all over with and I was dying for more. It was quite strange how after I conquered the fear I just wanted to ride everything over and over. California Screamin was AMAZING, but way better the last 4 times we rode it in the FRONT seat. It was so much fun I can't begin to explain. It was such a rush. I just loved how fast it was, 0-60 in five seconds. PLEASE, yes, MORE! :) I am so ready for Magic Mountain or Six Flags... Knotts Berry Farms!?

Grizzly Mountain Rapids was the most random fun every time, just because you never know who is gonna get a wall of water in their lap. It was so fun and the right time to go is right before the parade everyone is leaving to get their spot, so the line for this ride (the wet one) is so short you can get away with going OVER and OVER... and we did. 6 times a row the first day and 7 times the next day! It was a blast. I still, wish I could go on it again.

Over all I really did enjoy my whole trip, it was nice to have fun and relax and sleep in. I did miss my babies like crazy and it was really fun to see their reactions when I got home, it was one of those things that makes you realize what you have- and so thankful for every day your given. I am so excited to take the girls there some day when they are bigger.

Below is a picture of Crater Lake it's 1,943 feet deep. That makes it the deepest lake in the United States, and the ninth deepest lake in the world!
I took that picture from thousands of feet above... amazing the quality. I would love to visit here someday, it looks like a really neat place to go.

So that is pretty much it, I could go on and on. But since it has taken me all day to get this out, I better leave it at that ! I will be posting again soon, I promise!!!!

Where to begin!? Life is truly beautiful chaos with three little girls! We are so busy, while they are so busy growing up too fast. Our family has grown so much, where did the time go? We can barely believe it's already March 2012!

Madilyn has become quite the little princess...but sometimes (usually) a drama QUEEN. Your thinking, oh how precious, right? HA! Just this morning, when her daddy was getting ready to leave for work she said to him: "Wait, stop daddy. Listen, I'm talking to you!?" hahaha wow. I wonder where she gets it. For the most part she is such a great helper and she loves to do things to help with her little sisters. Anna and her play so well together, but the times when Anna is napping, Madi LOVES to play tea party with her animals. I've watched her play several times and it wasn't until recently I sat down and had some tea with her... it was SO cute. She was saying things like, "Mama, I'm gonna blow on your foffee (coffee) just in case it might be too hot for you, ok!? haha! I said okay Madilyn, you go ahead and do that. She then said, "thats right mama, you will get burnt and that would hurt your feelings". I was just smiling from ear to ear and so was she!

I can not believe how fast she has grown, or the fact that she will be four this fall. Our baby, our Madilyn Paige. Such a beautiful little lady and we love her so much!

Grandma Marla got us pretty flowers last week. It was so sweet and I felt so appreciated. Life has been pretty hectic and it's such a blessing to have such a great family surrounding us with love and friendship. Anna Mae is so taken by her little Emma, she can barely keep her hands off her most days. Even when Emma sleeps, it's all Anna can do but to keep from touching her and waking her up to love on her :) We truly love it. The joy that these girls bring!
Emma sure has been growing like a crazy girl. She eats all the time so I guess that is the least we can expect from her right? She is trying to hold her head up and coo a little bit. She is VERY smiley and happy. Always ready to flash her dimples and cute happy face!

I have to admit that all things considered, with stressing over every day normal things, plus the worrying if I'm a good parent and am I doing it right... I think we've come to realize there is no one right way to do it. Every baby is different, every child hears and learns everything a different way... their personalities and characteristics are all completely, beautifully individual. I love being their mama, they give my life such joy and comfort. It's not always easy, but I have my children to thank for teaching me all these lessons of unconditional love and patients. This life we have created together, and these little faces, I could never ask for anything more, because nothing could ever beat this.
